Whoa.
Many of us proudly dragged our sweaty asses out under the oppressive sun of an early Austin summer for this once a year thing, socializing and raising some money for gay political causes. I'm somewhat astonished that someone can shamelessly proclaim that the needs of the virtual world take precedence over those of this real world; this real world where partners might not be able to see one another in a hospital, or worse yet, be faced with losing the roof over their head should a partner pass away without a will.
I sure hope that level 69 PvP necromancer-caster-orc-chain-lightning thing has some good lobbyists during the next legislative session.

Besides, I was not gaming on my computer, I was gaming at Battleforge Games with two of my friends and more friends that I've met through playing D&D with these two. These two who where there for me while my partner was in the hospital and immediately came to see me as soon as I told them that Karl died. Two of the people who checked on me almost every day for the week after Karl died. Two people who participated in trying to through me a great birthday party when Karl had just died 5 days earlier. These are true friends and honestly, I want to socialize with them and have fun with them as much as I can. This is the virtual world, I was out socializing with friends and having fun while if I went to pride, I'd probably roam around for an hour or two then go home being bored. I spent 14 hours at that games store and had a hell of a lot more fun then I would have had going to pride. So don't you even DARE talk to me that way.
